Dr. Prasarn Bhiraj Buri, Chief Executive Officer of BHIRAJ BURI Group, said, “with our brand belief and determination to think forward for lasting customers’ satisfaction BHIRAJ BURI Group has seen that Sukhumvit- Bangna area has steadily enjoyed the expansion every year, namely residential projects, transportation, department stores and office buildings. Therefore, the company has seen the potential to expand the exhibition and conference business including the office building and offices. The company has gained the expertise in developing land and rental office building in Bangkok for more than 30 years including UBC II Building and BHIRAJ Tower at EmQuartier, which is a mixed use development, scheduled to be completed late 2014, to prepare for the expansion of manufacturing industry in the eastern corridor of Bangkok to prepare for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) and related businesses after an advent of ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) in 2015.”
Ms.Panittha Buri, Managing Director of Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC), gave additional details about the operating result of BITEC “In 2013, the company achieved the occupancy growth by 27 percent. With the potential, readiness to service and the steady expansion of exhibition and conference business, together with its capacity in developing real estate projects and expertise in running the exhibition and conference center for more than 16 years, BITEC has seen the opportunity and been ready to move towards the next step of success. Therefore, the company invested in the second phase of BITEC on an area of more than 37,800 square meters. Coupled with the existing usable space for exhibition at 32,000 and conference at 5,800 the total BITEC’s exhibition space will expand to 70,000 squaremeters. The construction is scheduled to finish by 2016.”
